After coming off last week's impressive 2-1 win at Columbus, Union coach Jim Curtin talked about the importance of defending his home field.
Curtin said he hoped the Union could win 10 of 17 home games, an ambitious goal since the team won 10 all of last year.
After an impressive showing in their home opener, maybe Curtin's goal is attainable.
With the new-look midfield jelling and C.J. Sapong scoring two goals, the Union defeated the New England Revolution, 3-0, Sunday in their Major League Soccer home opener before 17,027 at Talen Energy Stadium.
The Union are now 2-1 and have won two straight games for the first time since May 17 and May 24 of last season when they beat D.
