Saint Joseph’s stumbles in regular season finale; La Salle salvages draw

Seniors Ted Foley and Mike Stuski linked up to put Saint Joseph’s ahead in the 12th minute, but Yale responded with three goals to hand the Hawks a loss in their final regular season match on Wednesday.

The goal was the second career strike for Stuski (Holland, Pa.) and the first career point for Foley (Conshohocken, Pa.). Unfortunately for the visitors, the lead didn’t last long. Yale drew level in the 17th minute and took the lead for good in the 26th minute before adding an insurance strike in the 48th minute.

With their season done, the Hawks (6-11-1, 3-5-0) will need help from conference foes this weekend to secure the eighth and final spot in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
