Bethlehem Steel FC captain Ryan Richter has been named to the first 2016 USL Team of the Week. Richter played the full 90 minutes in the team’s inaugural game against FC Montreal and helped the squad maintain a defensive clean sheet during the 1-0 victory.
Richter, 26, joined Bethlehem Steel FC via a transfer from Ottawa Fury FC of the North American Soccer League on Dec. 22, 2015. While with the Fury, he played and started all 32 games in the 2015 season and lead the team to the NASL Championship against New York Cosmos.
