With the team leading 1-0, Roland Alberg and the Union were searching for the insurance goal and exclamation point on the match. With a corner kick upcoming very late into the match, Haris Medunjanin and Alberg teamed up for a short corner opportunity.
Alberg received the pass mere feet from the corner, and ran past Sounder defenders to work himself close to the left side of the box. Seizing the opportunity, he ripped a curler from outside of the box, which bounced off the side of the far post and into the back of the net.
