Report: Verbal agreement reached over transfer of Brenden Aaronson to RB Salzburg

Brenden Aaronson will remain with the Philadelphia Union until the end of the season, according to a report by MLSSoccer.com that says a verbal agreement has been reach between the Union and Red Bull Salzburg for his transfer.

Aaronson staying to finish out the 2020 season would be a huge lift not only for the Union but for fans fretting about the prospect of a postseason run without the budding star 19-year-old.

The Austrian club is coached by American Jesse Marsch, who played with Union head coach Jim Curtin at Chivas USA and Chicago Fire.
