Reasons to Watch: Battle for top of the East

We in first place!

Since Week 3, the Union are the only team in the Eastern Conference with one or fewer losses. They have only dropped points when traveling west of the Mississippi, and they are outscoring opponents 20-6.

Toronto got the best of the Union to open the season but since then Philly has been on a tear. TFC has been strong as well, but they did give up three at home against Minnesota and looked vulnerable in a 2-1 loss against Portland at BMO Field.

While the Union have been great at home since opening day, the two teams chasing them in the standings have had strong starts on the road so this is a great chance for Jim Curtin’s men to show they belong with those atop the Eastern Conference.
