Borek Dockal delivered his league-leading 15th assist to set up Auston Trusty’s first career goal off a short corner early in the first half of Saturday night’s game against Montreal Impact, but that was one of the few highlights in a 4-1 loss to a fellow playoff contender.
Playing with a lead — something that’s led to a loss only one other time this season — the Union sloppily gave the ball away and set up the first of four goals for the visitors. The Union simply had no answer for Ignacio Piatti and the Impact’s counter attack and after Dockal was taken off in the 72nd minute they weren’t able to really threaten cutting into what was at the time a two-goal lead and ended in a four-goal loss.
