Playing Atlanta United 11v11 for 90 minutes resulted in three more points dropped for the Philadelphia Union in a 2-0 loss on Saturday night at home.
While the Union didn’t look awful nor outplayed in large stretches of the game, their finishing was again poor and not even a vintage Andre Blake performances could keep the league’s most potent off the scoreboard.
Blake was responsible for the penalty on Miguel Almiron that led to Josef Martinez raising his league-leading goal total to 18, but the Jamaican international was also instrumental in keeping the game close.
