Rate the U: Oh Captain our captain

After leading the Union to a comeback victory with his goal in stoppage time on Saturday, it’s no surprise that Alejandro Bedoya received the most votes in our Community Player Ratings poll.

With only minutes left in stoppage time, Ale was able to score the winning goal against FC Dallas. Bedoya was able to do this by receiving a beautiful lifted pass from Ilsinho, taking the ball by two defenders in the 18-yard box and putting it past Dallas keeper Jimmy Maurer. He would afterwards celebrate the goal by performing a baseball swing for a home run in front of three Philadelphia Phillies players, who were in attendance that evening in the supporters section.
