McCarthy steals the show
With Andre Blake up with the Jamaican national team, the Union leaned on John McCarthy to protect the net, and McCarthy showed up in a big way. McCarthy rattled off highlight save after highlight save throughout the game and is a major reason why the Union were able to walk away from Kansas City with a point. From his diving save to stone Daniel Salloi in the 28th minute to his fingertip save against Latif Blessing in the 74th minute, McCarthy performed valiantly in his first MLS start of the season.
