Responding

The Union fell into a hole early, as a defensive miscommunication lead to Nemanje Nikolic getting Chicago on the board with a goal in the third minute. But that lead didn't last long. Just three minutes later, Fafa Picault sent a cross to Ilsinho, who moved the ball forward to CJ Sapong. Sapong ripped a shot on net, and with the ball going on frame, Johan Kappelhof kicked the ball into the net for an own goal. The goal in the sixth minute was the third fastest goal for the Union this season.

Chip It In

Seven minutes after the Union benefitted from an own goal, Alejandro Bedoya doubled the team's lead with a goal of his own.
