Sapong ties a career-high
CJ Sapong put the Union in a great spot, as he earned a penalty kick just two minutes into the match, thanks to a handball by Revolution defender Benjamin Angoua. Sapong went up to the spot and buried his chance into the back of the net to give the Union a 1-0 lead. It was Sapong's ninth goal in MLS competition, which ties his career-high for a season. Three of his goals have come from the penalty spot, which is the most on the Union. Sapong now has 17 matches to set a new career-high in goals.
