Pushing from the Start
One of the goals from Head Coach Jim Curtin was for the Union to put the foot on the gas immediately from the start, and the Union succeeded on that front. The team had a majority of the possession to start the match, and peppered Seattle's Stefan Frei with a couple of shots on goal in the first 10 minutes. With Seattle fresh off a cross-country flight and a Wednesday matchup, the Union wanted to attack early to establish the offense, which ended up working out in the team's favor.
"Overall, a good team performance from the group," Curtin said.
