Ending With a Win
Head Coach Jim Curtin once again congratulated Brian Carroll on his 15-year career, and made it a point to make sure he could get the reception he deserved from the fans. Curtin subbed Carroll on at halftime, allowing the midfielder to play the final 45 minutes of the match. Curtin said he and the rest of the team wanted to send Carroll out with three points, and they were able to do so.
"Once again, congratulations to Brian Carroll," Curitn said. "Incredible career. Before the game started, in the pre-game talk we talked about clear, simple objectives.
