Philadelphia Union take a midweek break from MLS action to welcome the Barclay’s Premier League’s Crystal Palace F.C. to Talen Energy Stadium on Wednesday, July 13, in a 7 p.m. ET kickoff.
This is the seventh consecutive summer the Union have hosted an international opponent in Chester, with the most recent being the Premier League’s A.F.C. Bournemouth on July 14, 2015. Crystal Palace is making its second trip to Talen Energy Stadium after defeating Philadelphia, 1-0 in a friendly on July 25, 2014 in front of 15,482 fans.
Like most summer international friendlies for MLS teams, the match with Crystal Palace is crunched between a jam-packed schedule for Philadelphia.
