Major League Soccer’s summer transfer window will close at 11:59 Wednesday night, and it looks as if the Philadelphia Union aren’t going to make any big moves.
That was the message from sporting director Earnie Stewart and head coach Jim Curtin on Wednesday afternoon, after the team’s last practice session before the deadline.
“Maybe there will be some business done, but it won’t be much,” Stewart said. “Up to now, the business that we’ve been able to do wasn’t sufficient enough so that [potential signings] would be better than what we have. So we’ve refrained from that.
