While most were sleeping in on this Thanksgiving holiday, select members of Philadelphia Union family chose to give up some sleep to give back to their neighbors.
Linda Recke is the Regional Vice President of Spectra Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality at Talen Energy Stadium. Recke and her team arrived to Talen Energy Stadium before the sun rose Thursday morning to cook turkey and sides for Cityteam Ministries in Chester, so that those in their community who are down on their luck could have a meal on Thanksgiving.
“It started back in 2011, the Union had a match that was postponed due to weather and we had inventory that needed to be used,” Recke said.
