Per a press release, the Philadelphia Union have officially signed 2017 MLS SuperDraft pick Aaron Jones. The defender now joins Marcus Epps as the second Union signing from this year’s draft. Jones played two years at Georgia State University before transferring to Clemson for the second half of his collegiate career. At Clemson he made 35 starts and caught the Union’s eye at the 33rd overall pick.
In an interview with Kyle Kepner from Indomitable City Soccer, Jones said that he “has some stiff competition at the Union for the right back spot.
