Philadelphia Union Select Four In 2016 MLS SuperDraft

The Philadelphia Union selected Joshua Yaro, Keegan Rosenberry, Fabian Herbers and Taylor Washington during the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday. During a draft day trade, the Union acquired the No. 2 overall pick from Colorado Rapids in exchange for a player to be named later and general allocation money.

With the No. 2 overall pick, the Union selected Georgetown defender Yaro, 21, who played three seasons with the Hoyas. While at Georgetown, Yaro started 57 games and was named an NSCAA First Team All-American and the Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2015. In 2014, he was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and was also selected as the college Player of the Year by TopDrawerSoccer.
