Philadelphia Union Goalkeeper Andre Blake Wins Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Award

Andre Blake did not disappoint in his first full season as the starting goalkeeper for Philadelphia Union. The only goalkeeper in MLS history to be selected No. 1 overall in the MLS SuperDraft has been named Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.

The human highlight-reel continued to dazzle in 2016 in the Philadelphia net, while also establishing himself as the top choice for the Jamaican National Team. The starting keeper for the Reggae Boyz set personal bests in almost every goalkeeping category in his first full season as a starter. Blake finished with 32 starts, six shutouts, 99 saves and 10 wins in regular season play.
