Philadelphia Union fell to Toronto FC 3-0 at BMO Field in Canada in front of a crowd of 20,645. The Union will be back in action Saturday when they host Atlanta United wrapping up a stretch of three matches in eight days.
Toronto gave their fans reason to cheer early on Wednesday night. After Philadelphia defender Oguchi Onyewu was called for a foul on Sebastian Giovinco, TFC was awarded with a free-kick from just outside the box.
Giovinco stepped up and delivered a masterful strike that found the back of the net, giving Union goalkeeper Andre Blake zero chance.
