Jeremy Rafanello scored a pair of goals in the second half and the defense held D.C. United in check until conceding a late goal in a 2-1 win for the Philadelphia Union U19s in Upper Marlboro, Maryland last weekend.
The win was the only victory for the visiting Philadelphia Union Academy in a triple header of games against the MLS academy rival. The U17 and U15 games both ended in 2-2 draws.
The U19s won their fourth straight game to start the season thanks to Rafanello’s fifth and sixth goals of the season and his third game-winner.
