Philadelphia Union Academy teams go 3-1 against Baltimore Armour

Josue Monge scored twice in the second half to lead the Union U18 team back into the win column on the road Saturday in Ellicot City, Maryland.

Coming off a 7-2 loss at New York Red Bulls last week, the U18 defense and goalkeeper Tomas Romero shut down Baltimore Armour for the team’s third shut out of the season.

The clean sheet was the first for the 15-year-old Romero in his first start for the U18 team. He had one clean sheet for the U16 team last year in three starts.

Monge’s goals came in the 69th and 78th minutes.
