The organization formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America will be returning to Philadelphia after this January’s convention in 2023, 2026 and 2030, according to an announcement Wednesday that coincided with news of a name change for the more than 30,000-member organization.

The 76-year-old organization announced its new handle - United Soccer Coaches - at a press conference in Chicago Wednesday with the city’s mayor Rahm Emmanuel present.

“We are the world’s largest community of soccer coaches with more than 30,000 members and we are uniquely positioned to unite soccer coaches around their love of the game,” said United Soccer Coaches CEO Lynn Berling-Manuel at the event.
