Philadelphia's Division 1 soccer programs celebrated the 2015 season and handed out awards to top players, coaches and teams at a banquet on Tuesday night.
Villanova senior midfielder Sean Sheridan received the Chris Jones Player of the Year award for his standout season, edging out Temple newcomer and goals and points leader Jorge Gomez Sanchez for the honor.
Sheridan, a Levittown native, led all Wildcats in scoring with eight goals in 2015, including four that were game-winners.
