Philadelphia Eagles mimicked free kick after touchdown against Carolina Panthers

The Philadelphia Eagles keep giving us reasons to write about them.

Whether it’s Jason Kelce channeling the Sons of Ben or the exploits of Julie Ertz’s husband, the Bleeding Green Nation crossover opportunities have been good to us.

On Sunday, the Eagles and soccer intertwined again after Carson Wentz’s touchdown pass to Alshon Jeffery gave the Eagles a 7-0 lead in the second quarter over the Carolina Panthers.

To celebrate, Jeffery placed the ball down in the end zone and backed up as though taking a free kick in soccer with his teammates Zach Ertz, Isaac Seumalo, Dallas Goedert, Wendell Smallwood and Nelson Agholor forming a wall in front of Wentz.
