The Philadelphia Union Academy didn’t get to play for any hardware, but they finished their trip to Frisco, Texas for the 2016 Generation adidas Cup on a high note with a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday.
A first half goal from Darius Lewis was all the offense the Union needed to pick up their second win of the trip and finish with a 2-1-2 record after failing to advance out of the group in the Premier Division bracket of the competition.
Tomas Romero recorded the third clean sheet of the trip for the Union after regular starter Carlos dos Santos picked up clean sheets in matches against Colorado Rapids and Houston Dynamo.
