Part 3 - Re-Entry Draft
On Thursday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m., MLS will hold the 2016 MLS Waiver Draft. The Waiver Draft is an opportunity for MLS clubs to select players who have been waived by their former clubs who are not eligible for Re-Entry or Free Agency, two other player acquisition methods.
So how is it determined which player is eligible for which draft?
