New York City FC and Philadelphia both enter Saturday's matchup above the red line in the Eastern Conference heading into Week 8. The Union are returning home after traveling across the country to take on Seattle Sounders FC where they fell 2-1.
Philadelphia played a man down for most the second half for the second consecutive road game after Roland Alberg was shown his second yellow card in the 53rd minute. Seattle got the scoring going when Chad Marshall found the back of the net in the 41st minute of play. Later in the match Jordan Morris doubled the Sounders lead in the 71st minute.
