Another match, another big performance by John McCarthy.
McCarthy continues to show his worth, making nine saves against FC Dallas en route to his second win of the season in the 3-1 victory. McCarthy's nine saves was the most by a goalkeeper this season, and was just one shy from the Union's all-time record, set by Andre Blake against New England Revolution in 2015 when he made 10 saves.
McCarthy's nine saves gave him 26 on the season, which set a new career-high for a single season in his career. His saves came in his sixth consecutive start, which set a new career-high as well.
