Philadelphia Union Academy goalkeeper Matthew Freese has caught the eye of a U.S. goalkeeping legend.

Freese was called up by United States U19 head coach Brad Friedel for a domestic training camp being held in Sunrise, Florida through February 10.

The Harvard University commit is one of three players from the region at the camp. West Bromwich Albion defender Daniel Barbir (Allentown, Pa.) and UCLA goalkeeper Kevin Silva (Bethlehem, Pa.) are also at the camp.

Freese joined the Union Academy last summer, but has only made one appearance for the Union U18s since he opted to play his senior season at Episcopal Academy.
