After falling behind on an unfortunate goal, Bethlehem Steel FC equalized less than a minute later from an unusual source as defender Matt Real collected his first professional goal.

After play resumed following the visitor’s goal, Real collected a James Chambers pass and dribbled into the offensive side of the field. After a volley to Moar was defended by Saint Louis FC, the 18-year-old defender won the ball back against a pair of defenders. With the ball inside the 18-yard-box, Real beat the keeper on the near post to tie the match.

Following the match, Real said the goal came from his mindset that he’s been working on during the regular season.
