Match recap: Bethlehem Steel FC falls to FC Cincinnati 2-1

In what ended up being a stoppage time-less match, FC Cincinnati finally figured out Bethlehem Steel FC to the tune of a 2-1 win Saturday night at Nippert Stadium. Recent addition to the squad Danni Konig was the difference for the Orange and Blue, getting a brace and generally being a nuisance for the Bethlehem back line. Jimmy McLaughlin continued his resurgence as a winger as well as an early candidate for most improved/comeback player of the year, but that’s another story. Bethlehem came close to an equalizer a few times but a combination of poor finishing and Mitch Hildebrandt doing Mitch Hildebrandt-y things saw Steel retreat to the Valley with nothing to show for it.
