Area teams will be competing in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships in Frisco, Texas and the U.S. Club Soccer National Cup in Aurora, Colorado.
When Jeremiah White took over as head coach of the Lower Merion SC Sabertooth Rats earlier this year, he knew he had a talented team.
But even he was surprised at the speed this group of U15 boys team went from a group of talented individuals to a state and regional power that tore through the Region 1 championships outscoring opponents 18-2.
"I’ve enjoyed seeing how hard they’ve worked to get here," said White, who was familiar with many of the players through the company he runs NXT Soccer when he took the reigns back in February.
