Philadelphia Union local product Anthony Fontana has appeared in both of the club’s matches to start the 2018 campaign. The Union midfielder scored his first career MLS goal in his first career MLS start on March 3 against New England Revolution in the team's 2-0 win.
The young gun has enjoyed his early action with the First Team and his style of play is attributed to his favorite player growing up.
Fontana pointed to Czech attacking winger Pavel Nedvu011bd as his all-time favorite footballer. Nedvu011bd is most known for his time with Italian powerhouse Juventus and was an inspiration for Fontana as he rose through the Union Academy.
