The Ohio State University standout made his debut for Harrisburg as a late substitute on Saturday.
Ohio State University star Liam Doyle is the latest signing announced by Harrisburg City Islanders.
The USL club announced his signing on Tuesday after he made his debut in a 2-1 loss to Charlotte with a six-minute cameo off the bench. Though the appearance marked Doyle's professional debut, his jersey was worn in the season opener by fellow rookie defender Shane Campbell, creating some confusion for the home team's announcing crew in the web broadcast of the match.
A 6-foot-4 defender from the Isle of Man in the United Kingdom, Doyle was selected 67th overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by D.
