La Salle men’s head coach Rob Irvine steps down to take new job with U.S. Soccer

La Salle men’s soccer head coach Rob Irvine recently stepped down from the program he’s helmed since 2016 after getting a promotion with U.S. Soccer to Talent Identification Manager for the East Coast.

Irvine took over for Pat Farrell after his retirement in 2016. He was the head coach at Kean University for two seasons prior after serving as an assistant at Penn for eight years.

“This was a very difficult decision to leave La Salle,” Irvine stated in a news release. “Being the La Salle head men’s soccer coach was such a meaningful experience and a responsibility I took very seriously.
