Shift in training focus
The international break presents a unique opportunity for the Union and their training staff. With no upcoming match, instead of training with a specific game plan in mind, the Union can focus more on the individual. Training sessions the whole week have placed a focus on where the individual players can improve their respective game. Head Coach Jim Curtin said this training is good for players because even though it's individual work, the team as a whole will improve because of it.
"For the first time all year, I told the players, it's about the individual," Curtin said.
