Philadelphia Union announced Wednesday that defender Josh Yaro has been diagnosed with a torn right labrum and will be sidelined for up to 2-3 weeks. Yaro was injured during the first half of the Union’s match vs. Orlando City SC on May 25.

Drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, Yaro has started seven games for the Union in 2016, guiding the club to a 2-1-4 record in his appearances. He made his MLS debut against Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field April 16 in a 2-1 loss. Since then, Yaro and the Union are riding a seven-game unbeaten streak, one shy of tying the franchise record.
