Philadelphia Union soared to an impressive 3-0 victory in an Eastern Conference Clash with Columbus Crew SC. The victory on Wednesday night at Talen Energy Stadium improved the club’s record to 7-9-5 with 26 points on the season. Philadelphia will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to New England to take on the Revolution.
The Union attack was energized by Marcus Epps, making just his second MLS start. The rookie out of South Florida created problems for Columbus early in the first half. In the 18th minute Epps sent in a magnificent curling shot from just outside the 18-yard box.
