Jim Curtin views Philadelphia Union's run as "start of something special"

CHESTER, Pa.—Fabian Herbers hadn't done any flips in a while. Most of his Philadelphia Union teammates didn't even know their rookie teammate was capable of the feat.

But with his first MLS goal securing the Union’s important 3-2 victory over Columbus Crew SC on Wednesday, Herbers felt like the time was right to dig into his bag of celebration tricks.

“I’ve done it in the past back in Germany but I didn’t do it in college, actually,” said Herbers, the No. 6 overall pick, out of Creighton, in this year’s MLS SuperDraft.
