Professional athletes are seen as role models for younger kids, and Haris Medunjanin showed why he is one when the Union faced off against DC United on Saturday.
In the 74th minute of the match, Luciano Acosta was given a red card for seemingly kicking Medunjanin when he was on the ground. But he in fact didn't. Medunjanin went up to referee Sorin Stocia and told him he didn't feel Acosta kick him, which resulted in Acosta's red card being rescinded. In his post-game press conference, Medunjanin explained his side of the story, while also getting a dig in on New York Red Bulls's Felipe.
