There are a few moments every season which reminds teams and organizations that there's things bigger and more important than soccer. The Union had one of those moments Friday.
Friday afternoon, the Union unveiled some special boots for the first time. These boots were designed by children affected by pediatric cancer, and they were brought to life thanks to the work of Troy Cole, also known as Kickasso.
Earlier this season, the Union first team paired up with children affected by pediatric cancer and sat down, where they designed the boots together. Those mock ups and actual cleats were then sent to Kickasso, who hand-drew each cleat to life.
