Brian Carroll played his final game in MLS Sunday evening, and Union fans voted him the IBX Live Fearless Man of the Match.
Carroll announced Thursday he was retiring following the Union's match against Orlando City SC, ending his 15-year career. Head Coach Jim Curtin put him in the gameday 18, and subbed him in at halftime.
Carroll's appearance was his 371st career appearance, fourth most in MLS history. He played 45 minutes, bringing his total to 30,821, which ranks sixth most in MLS history. His 45 minutes were also the first MLS minutes Carroll played in 2017, but he showed no signs of rust.
