On March 10, Columbus came away with a victory at home in a thriller against Montreal Impact. The Crew converted two penalty kicks to leave with a 3-2 win over Montreal. Columbus earned the first goal of the match after Federico Higuaín scored from the spot in the 12th minute. Three minutes later the Crew struck again, this time it was their new acquisition Gyasi Zardes who put Columbus up 2-0.
