Before the season started, Herbers slotted into the starting lineup when Ilsinho went down with a minor leg injury. And since then, he has made the most of the opportunity.
In the match against Toronto FC, Herbers registered his first assist of the season when he sent a slick through ball to CJ Sapong for the Union's second goal. It's just another step in the right direction for Herbers.
