Philadelphia Union ignited the scoreboard on Saturday night at Talen Energy Stadium in their Round of 16 match against New York Red Bulls in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Union finished the 90 minutes with a 2-1 victory over New York much in part to central midfielder Haris Medunjanin who was voted by the fans as IBX Fearless Man of the Match.
Medunjanin got the party started for Philadelphia in the 51st minute of play with a missile from well beyond the 18 yard box. After receiving a pass from Union Captain Alejandro Bedoya, Medunjanin created space in the middle of the park, dancing around New York’s Tyler Adams.
