The Philadelphia Union trail by two goals to none at the end of the first half.
The Union gave up the first goal less than a minute after having a goal (correctly) called off for offside and after a Houston Dynamo player got an uncontested cross into the box, Mauro Manotas headed the ball home after Jack Elliot and Andre Blake failed to communicate who had the ball and who had the man.
The Union turned up the pressure, going close a number of times and had a number of good chances from free kicks, however they were unable to convert any of them.
