Good Knight: Revolution eliminate Union from U.S. Open Cup in penalty shootout

The Philadelphia Union were eliminated from the U.S. Open Cup 1-1 (4-2 on penalties) by the New England Revolution on Wednesday night. The game showed more of the heart and fight that we've come to expect from this incarnation of the Union.

It was a night for the goalkeepers, and in the end it was a night for the Revolution. Backup New England keeper Brad Knighton out-dueled Andre Blake in a penalty shootout that eliminated the Union from the U.S. Open Cup following a 1-1 draw. Knighton notched four saves, three in extra time, and then two more during the penalties.
