Philadelphia Union enter the weekend tied for first place in the Eastern Conference table. After dropping their first match of the season, the Union have won two in a row against Columbus Crew SC and New England Revolution.
At home against the Revs, the Union got up 1-0 early on a C.J. Sapong goal that squeaked between Bobby Shuttleworth and the left goal-post in the 18th minute. Sapong added another goal in the 33rd. The Union added a stoppage time goal from Sebastien Le Toux to seal the victory. Andre Blake recorded his first clean sheet of the season with two saves.
